Baby Lead Weaning - The first week

After reading many, many books (well flicking through picking out the bits I felt worried about) me and my partner decided to go for baby led weaning.

The whole point of this is that we don't feed Arthur, he feeds himself. I loved the idea of being able to eat my dinner hot for once and was sold more or less straight away! We have only just started and already he is at least attempting most of the foods we have given him. Banana and egg seem to be a favourite and putting anything on toast is always an easy meal idea

I am trying to eat with him, and honestly he seems to eat more and be happier when I'm interacting with him and eating too. The only issue I'm finding is that he takes at least 15 minutes to start to try to eat properly and I've eaten my dinner in about 5! He  loves variety and the more different foods he has to try the better he seems to be. I've also tried to make sure he's been fed about 30-60 mins before otherwise he gets too stressed and won't eat anything.

I'm hoping I'll be able to post more recipes and food ideas on here at some point and if anyone actually reads this they will be able to give me ideas too. Otherwise Arthur will be eating the same meals just like I do :D

Here's a photo I took today of him eating an egg for breakfast!
